They were delivered on time to the safe place I had requested by DPD.
The 'rack' consisted of two cast aluminium side rails. The passenger grab handles have to be removed and the side rails are installed underneath them with longer bolts. Simple to do and very neat. One thing though not mentioned in the instructions, is that there is a spacer on each side that doesn't need to be replaced.
Unfortunately the plastic Shad mounting plate that comes with the top box doesn't match the hole slots in the flat bits of the side rails.
I had to drill four holes through the aluminium to mount the plastic plate in the position I wanted. I then bolted it down with the four nuts and bolts and red square shaped plastic location pieces supplied.
The top box came with upper and lower passenger backrests but no instructions as to how to fit them. I found the instructions on the Shad website. Small holes need to be drilled through the top box in the pre marked places and the two pads can then be screwed on securely. Easy to do.
I am pleased with the end result and my wife says that the passenger comfort is improved with the back support but I can only assume that Shad expects customers to fit smaller or different top boxes from their range to this model of scooter as the holes do not line up. Because of the drilling required, it took me about one and a half hours to do (had to go and buy new drill bits from Wickes) otherwise it would have been a thirty minute job.
