Description
TR48 Terra Top Box - 48 Litres
The SHAD Terra TR48 motorcycle top box is part of SHAD's new line of aluminium cases, made from hardened aluminium alloy, a stronger and lighter type of aluminium which allows a reduced cross section of 1.2mm to obtain minimum weight with maximum resistance.

All of the include the “TERRA Lock System” from which SHAD is processing the patent. It is an industrial grade brushed AISI 304 stainless steel construction, making it extra resistant to staining, corrosion, while adding strength and durability. The TERRA Lock System unifies all operations of the case in one lock mechanism that fits perfectly in the aerodynamic body of the case. With one key and one hand, it allows the user to operate and remove the case in seconds, without the need to open and remove gear to lock it to the bike.

The TR48 top box is mounted on to the bike with one of SHAD's innovative, bike-specific top box fitting kit. The fitting kit fastens to the tail of the bike, where the SHAD mounting plate (which is included with the top box) sits securely on top, allowing a SHAD top case to be attached and removed with ease.

Shad Top box

I have just fitted this to my Triumph Tiger 900 GT PRO. It looks a quality piece of kit, though I haven’t used it in anger yet. The instructions were clear, and easy to follow. The hardest part was changing the lock cylinder over, but there is a video on Shads’ you tube channel showing you how to do it. I had to wait a month because the mounting bracket was on back order, but it arrived on the date they said it would. They even included a part I had forgotten to order, and included it for free. You can’t ask for better service than that.

New set of Shad panniers & top plus fixing rails

All came delivered well packed in boxes. The instructions were ok but needed a few more detailed stares to get it right. Support rails fitted perfectly for panniers as did the top box support tray and clicking them all in place was child's play. The top box came with its own lock however they 3 keys were also supplied so they can all be on the same lock. When it came to taking out the top box lock I had to contact SHAD who sent me a link for a youtube video which once seen I was kicking myself at how simple it was! Still better to ask than force it and break it, which to be honest is what most men would do!! Summary....Great set of boxs, easy to fit and good value!

Shad Top box
